Kronogård Naturreservat

On the second weekend of October I went with my friend Sylvia on a two day hiking trip through Kronogård nature reserve in the municipality of Jokkmokk just north of Kåbdalis.

In the beginning of our tour it was raining. It was a very good idea to take boots with us as our shoes would have been soaken wet within a few hrs time.

We went through "gammal skog" (old forest)...

...and swamps for a couple of hours until...

...we reached this little hut called Torrfurukojan.

A very cosy little hut with four beds, a table and a fireplace to keep you warm. We were very lucky to stay over night here and dry our wet clothes.

The next day the sky had cleared and we were greeted by beautiful sunshine.

We had a picnic at one of the countless lakes on our hike and even went for a short refreshing dip in one of the lakes.

That day we could switch to hiking shoes and decided to go on the hill Rahánoajvve at the end of our hiking trip from where we had a great view over the area.

We went on our hiking trip on a weekend and only met four people walking in pairs so we were pretty much on our own. This was much in contrast to my earlier hike in Muddus national park just a few weeks earlier.
