Ice Skating in October

Yesterday was the perfect weather to go ice skating here. Far away from the elegance of figure skating but it was a lot of fun to have the lake all for yourself and to skate in this scenery. The ice wasn't mirror-like this time but that didn't minimize the fun!

This is so unfair, we still have to wait several weeks even months before we can go on the lake. I would however not know when it is safe if I didn't see some other people skating.

Yeah, I understand but here you can wait a long time until you see other people as it's so sparsly populated!;) To be safe just skate near the lakeside. Where we skated the ice was already about 10cm thick.
